Maxwell Gyampoh has over 29 years of experience working both in the military and the civilian workplace. Prior to establishing GCHP, Maxwell was the Head of Finance and Administration and later became the Director of Projects at Universal Hospitals Group (UHG) where he led a team of architects and engineers to design, build and equip The Bank Hospital and The Bank Hospital Annex all for the Bank of Ghana (BOG), and a Lab and Diagnostics Center in Monrovia, Liberia for the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP).
Maxwell's thirteen (13) years of military experience with the logistics and supply department of the Ghana Air Force saw him occupy several senior positions and execute complex military operations. He served with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL, 2003) and United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL2005-2006) He is currently the lead consultant for the Joint Venture Hospital Project between the Ministry of Defence/Ghana Armed Forces (Defence Industries Holding Company, DIHOC) and CAREWORLD Global Medical Services Ltd, where he is coordinating and leading the design engineering phase (pre-contract and post-contract) for a 1500-bed hospital facility. He does this by providing the team with a clear vision, policy direction, and strategic leadership. He provides Project Lead Management Services (pre-contract and post-contract)to the joint venture between the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) AND Africa Cancer Control Partners for the African Continental Cancer Center and Research Insitute (ACCRI)project, which seeks to provide testing and diagnosis for cancer, comprehensive treatment, research, training of specialist, a cyclotron, A proton beam and DNA tissue bapOSnk.
His expertise has also been hired to provide the Project Management services(post-contract) for the Kaneshie Multi-Storey Retails and Commercial Parking Project. His area of expertise includes but not limited to :
Maxwell has a strong finance and logistics background. He holds an MBA-Financial Management from the University of Plymouth Business School, UK, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (PGDMS) from Greenwich School of Management, UK and a Diploma in Public Administration (DPA) from University of Ghana Business School, Ghana. He also has certifications in Construction Project Management and Execution, Construction Scheduling, Construction Cost Estimating, Construction Project Planning and Construction Procurement Scheduling all from Columbia University (on coursera) as well as other certifications. He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMl),UK.
