PROFILE OF CONSULTANT BIOMEDICAL

Engineer: Mr Joseph Adu, is our senior Consultant Biomedical Engineer and has over 12+yesrs of progressive experience in healthcare system with regards to space and equipment planning ,clinical engineering ,biomedical engineering , and hospital software architecture. Having worked across West Africa within a variety of organizations(for -profit turnkey healthcare providers), joseph’s expertise ranges from initial planning and schematic design, constructions , sourcing and procurement of medical equipment ,installation phases and finally medical equipment management which Includes staff training and maintenance of installed equipment.


Joseph has delivered medical equipment management and service solutions that help client reduce cost, increase operating efficiencies ,improve caregiver satisfaction ,and support optimal patient outcomes

Joseph holds a BSc. Biomedical Engineering degree from University of Ghana and an MBA in Medical Device and Healthcare Management from Hochschule Furtwangen University, Germany .Joseph is currently pursing a Doctoral degree from Liberty University, USA and is also a member of Ghana Institute of Engineering and Ghana Society of Biomedical Engineers.

Joseph has a deep commitment to improving access to and advancing the quality of healthcare across Africa and is open to any and all opportunities that serve this purpose.

  • Development of a 100 – bed Asafo Boakye Specialist Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana.
  • Designing ,Construction and Equipping of the Bank Hospital ,Ghana
  • Designing ,Construction and Equipping of the Bank Hospital Annex in Accra ,Ghana
  • Designing and Equipping of Jahmale Diagnostic Centre for National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) in Monrovia, Liberia.
  • Development of Ares Paediatric Centre of Excellence (Bloom Medical Centre)in Accra, Ghana
  • Development of Nova Surgery Centre in Accra ,Ghana
  • Development of 50-bed Accra Medical Centre in Accra, Ghana
  • Development of 50-bed Isolation Containment Centre at Kumasi for Ministry of Health,Ghana.
  • Development of 100-bed Trauma Hospital at Anyinam and Obuasi for Ministry of Health,Ghana.
  • Development of 50-bed Maternity Hospital at Enyiresi for Ministry of Health ,Ghana.
  • Development of 111 District Level Hospital (Agenda 111)for the Government of Ghana.
  • Development. Of 111 Regional Level Hospital (Agenda 111)for the Government of Ghana.
  • Development of 111 Psychiatric Hospital (Agenda 111)for the Government of Ghana.
